Hola mis Amigos Queridos!
Today, I´ll take you guys on a little foto-flight over the beautiful landscape of Mexico. On our flight from Tuxtla Gutierrez to Puerto Vallarta via Mexico City, we were granted the greatest sunshine and the most spectacular view from the airplane´s window. I have to share this with you-so get buckled, take a deep breath and here we go-high up into the Mexican sky! --->
Heute nehme ich euch mal mit auf eine kleine Fotoflugreise über das wunderschöne Mexiko. Auf unserem Flug von Tuxtla Gutierrez nach Puerto Vallarta mit zwischenstop in Mexiko Stadt, hat uns nicht nur strahlendster Sonnenschein beglückt, sondern wir wurden auch mit der fantastischsten Aussicht aus dem Flugzeugfenster belohnt. Das möchte ich euch natürlich keineswegs vorenthalten: Also anschnallen, tief durchatmen und ab geht´s-hoch über die Wolken! --->
Here we go, standing on the tarmack at Tuxtla Gutierrez airport-ready for take off! As soon as we were up in the sky, we had the opportunity to see the spectacular Cañón del Sumidero, which we had visited earlier this week from high above. That way, I was finally able to figure out that we had not been unlucky with the weather conditions that day-because the clouds seem to hang in there in the vally during this time of the year-as you can see in the pictures...
Los gings auf dem Rollfeld in Tuxtla Gutierrez-hoch hinauf in die Wolken, die an dem Tag fast gar nicht zu sehen waren. Schon kurz nach dem Abheben, kamen wir dann in den Genuss den Cañón del Sumidero,, den wir in dieser Woche unter anderem besucht hatten, doch noch von oben zu sehen-und in diesem Moment wurde mir klar, dass wir offensichtlich kein Unglück mit dem Wetter gehabt haben, da zu dieser Jahreszeit scheinbar ständig die Wolkensuppe über dem Talkessel hängt, wie man auf den Fotos sehr gut erkennen kann...
We continued our flight towards Mexico City, in the centre of the country. After a while, the landscape underneath became rather flat and then suddenly there was this little crater which seems so out of place in this flat landscape as if it had been made by some extraterrestrial power. Unfortunately, I still haven´t found out the name of this crater, or the exact location...Maybe one of you knows?!
Daraufhin ging es noch eine Weile über eher gebirgiges Land, bis es dann wieder ganz flach wurde und dann war da auf einmal dieser ulkige Krater zu sehen. Leider habe ich bis heute noch nicht herausfinden können, wie der heißt und wo der genau ist...Vielleicht kann mir ja jemand von euch einen Tipp geben?
If that has already impressed you then have a look at this! I almost spilled all my tomatoe juice when this huuuuge volcano came up behind the window! It took me about 10 speechless seconds to tell my friend "look! loook! and give me the cameraaa!"
Have you made a guess already?! Yes, of course-we passed the world famous volcano with the funny name Popōcatepētl, which is only now grabbing the attention of the press again as it´s spilling clouds of ash. At 5462m of altitude, this volcano is more than impressive-and just 70km south of Mexico City. Next time when I´m in Mexico, I´ll definitely have to pay a visit!
Wenn euch das schon begeistert hat, dann passt mal auf! Es kommt nämlich noch besser! Ich hab fast meinen Becher mit Tomatensaft fallen lassen, als hinter der Fensterscheibe auf einmal dieser riiiiiieeesige Vulkan auftauchte. Ich war erst einmal für 10 Sekunden sprachlos, bevor ich Babsi antippen konnte "Guck mal! Guck mal! Gib die Kameraaaa heeeer!!!" Schon auf den Bildern ist es beeindruckend aber verdammt, wie toll sieht dieser Vulkan in Natura aus!??
Und habt ihr es schon erraten?! Ja natüüürlich, es handelt sich dabei um den weltberühmten Vulkan mit dem lustigen Namen Popōcatepētl, der momentan mal wieder Schlagzeilen macht, weil er gefährliche Aschewolken spuckt.
Ganze 5462m ist der hoch-und befindet sich nur 70km südlich von Mexiko Stadt. Ein beeindruckender Anblick und beim nächsten Mexikourlaub definitiv auf meiner To-do Liste!
After the impressive sight of the volcano, it didn´t take long for the next one. Shortly after, our plane started coming down over Mexico City and because of unusually good weather conditions I was able to snap quite some good pictures of the endless desert of streets and houses. This city never stops fascinating me!
Nach diesem äußerst beeindruckenden Anblick dauerte es nicht mehr lange, bis zum nächsten. Schon kurze Zeit später nahm das Flugzeug zum Landeanflug über Mexico City an-und dank ungewöhnlich guter Luftverhältnisse, konnte man an diesem Tag echt mal was sehen-und vorallem das Gesehene mal recht passabel auf Bildern festhalten. Immer wieder faszinierend, die unendlichen Ausmaße dieser Stadt!
Arriving at Benito Juarez Airport, we only had time for a quick breakfast at Starbucks. We had been on the way since 4am and it was already 9am by the time we arrived in Mexico City-and I was hungry like a bear! Our flight to Puerto vallarta was operated by one of these small connector planes, which I find scary somehow but everything was alright-as always =)
Angekommen am Benito Juarez Airport, hatten wir nur Zeit für ein kurzes Frühstück bei Starbucks. Wir sind ja um 4Uhr nachts aufgebrochen und mittlerweile war es schon 9Uhr morgens-mein Magen hing also quasi schon unter der Fußsohle! Aber dann ging es auch direkt weiter nach Puerto Vallarta-in so einer mini kleinen connector Maschine. Hat aber gar nicht so schlimm gewackelt wie befürchtet =)
Leaving the vast desert of Mexico City behind us, we soon crossed lake Chapala, which apparently I didn´t take a picture of and got to see Guadalajara in the distance. The picture shows the city and to the left the Volcan Tequila which gave its name to the village-and the liqueur made there ;-)
Unfortunately the pictures didn´t turn out well-but they got sentimental value and therefore couldn´t be left out!
Nachdem wir die Häuserwüste von Mexiko Stadt hinter uns gelassen hatten, überquerten wir schon kurze Zeit darauf den Lago Chapala, wovon ich komischerweise kein Foto gemacht habe-und dann war auch schon Guadalajara unter uns auszumachen, sowie der Volcan Tequila, nachdem das Dorf und das dort herstammende Likör benannt sind. Leider sind diese Fotos nicht so toll geworden-haben aber sentimentalen Wert und dürfen daher nicht fehlen!
Weiter ging es dann über den Gebirgszug, der Guadalajara von der Pazifikküste trennt und kurz darauf dann der Landeanflug auf Puerto Vallarta!
Here we go! We´re back to sunshine, beach and the good life during our last fabulous days of vacation!
Da sind wir! Jetzt warten wieder Sonne, Strand und Meer auf uns! Ein Hoch auf die letzten Urlaubstage!
